In fact, it's been coming apart at the seams, which is why Perry has now brought in a whole new set of advisers, in addition to his standard team, led by Joe Allbaugh, who served as the day-to-day manager of George W. Bush's campaigns, alongside the rest of Bush's "iron triangle," the big-picture guy Karl Rove, and Bush's personal guardian, Karen Hughes. I asked Miller how to read the shake-up. You may be misreading...the article says Rove and Hughes worked alongside Allbaugh, it doesn’t say Rove/Hughes have joined the Perry campaign.

If you knew anything about Rick And Anita you would know Anita was barely ever noticed as first lady of Texas.
I have a close friend who guarded Rick Perry who is a 15 year veteran of the State Patrol and we have had extensive talks years ago about the first couple. Everyone knows Anita is a homebody and has always hated the spotlight. No wonder she has been so shocked by the Presidential campaign.
