Full auto is for suppressing movement of the enemy and covering the movement of your own forces. I wonder why a 1022 converted to fire open bolt full auto wouldn't be a more cost effective way to provide suppressing fire? 22lr ammo is the cheapest around and a stream of 40 grain pellets at 1100 fps spitting down range is a good disincentive for movement.
