Republican presidential candidate Herman Cains campaign says its overnight viral sensation is no joke.
The quirky YouTube video showing chief of staff Mark Block taking a drag on a cigarette while asking supporters to get involved in the campaign is for real.
It was meant to tell supporters about the campaign, campaign spokesman J.D. Gordon told The Daily Caller in an email.
It was a video with an edge as the Chief of Staff says, just Block being Block, Gordon told TheDC.

Originally is always refreshing....in your face anti-smoking, politically correct fascist politicians don't like it...
I'd rather see actors smoking than screwing naked in a bed scene that has nothing to do with the plot. Oh Wait, usually there is no real plot or good writing in todays movies. Take out the sex and violence and there is no movie...
He is running for president, I liked this video and it was funny. I am a grown up, with a sense of humor. And also like the idea of someone in politics giving the anal retentive anti-smokers an in your face video...
The ad is absolutely awful and anyone who can't see it is just defending Cain because they support him. No one could seriously look at this ad and think a professional, serious campaign put it together. There is no part of it that is good. The campaign manager guy does not speak well, puffing a cigarette just looks ridiculous and the shot of Cain at the end looks creepy. You'd expect such a poorly put together spot from a middle school class treasurer race, not from someone who is a current polling frontrunner of a US presidential campaign.
Sticking your finger in the eye of the nanny staters is great. Tobacco is a legal product and Cain has a great smile...GG
Humor is in the eye of the beholder. No sweat and have a great rest of the day. :)
I prefer real people to plastic politicos with perfect hair (and make up). A few of those types end up in jail. Even past candidates.

A few of those even have affairs and get other women pregnant, while their wives are suffering from cancer ... (a certain Breck girl candidate comes to mind ...)
I think the ad is edgy and different. It’s a call to the People — skirts AROUND the PC political establishment.
If the political ad season is getting started, we can likely look forward to some VERY good stuff from the Cain campaign. He’s taking it to some new frontiers ...
