Early Tuesday, the city began ousting protesters who have camped out for two weeks at the Occupy Oakland tent city on Frank H. Ogawa Plaza. Police started assembling around the tent city at 14th Street and Broadway at about 3 a.m.

6:40 p.m. BART closes downtown station

The 12th Street BART station is closed because of the protests and police action and AC Transit is re-routing buses downtown.

6:15 a.m. Police descend on Snow Park camp

Dozens of police officers are moving into Snow Park near Lake Merritt. An officer is using a bullhorn to tell protesters to leave the small park. Police are ripping down the tents and protesters are yelling "go away, go away."

Most recent update on this onging operation. Along with some of the materials that have appeared today in other articles about this, it looks like the California DemonRats have decided to END THIS NOW. The Illegal must realize it's doing him no good and it ain't no Tea party.

This thread is worthless without pictures.

Preferably ones including nightsticks and pepper spray.

I can only imagine what type of illegal items will be found abandoned at the site.

OWS is over. Obama and the Dems have milked it for whatever value there was. Now the hard-core dirty hippies who remain are just an embarrassment.

MSM coverage is finished. You will hear no more about it nationally. Maybe the local stations will cover it when the cops move in to clean out the hangers-on, but that’s it.

I was thinking the same thing: it's interesting that California responded before anyone else. And the San Francisco area (albeit Oakland): that's a shocker.

I know the Boston police broke up a camp, but all they did was send them back to the original location. NYC has broke up some smaller protests (at Washington Square Park), but has left the one in Zuccotti Park alone.

I think you’re right. The whole DemonRat California governmental apparatus wouldn’t have launched this massive cleanup without the Illegal’s approval, meaning the media will go along. Looks like the shit bomb the Illegal tried to throw at all of us just blew up in his face.

The rancid reek of patchouli oil and hippie b.o. will linger long after the occupiers are gone!!

Hippie perfume. An oil worn as perfume by dirty hippies in lieu of showering or bathing in any way. Used to mask the scent of marijuana and week old body odor, but usually it merely mixes with the scent to form a new, BO/Patchouli combo that can repulse even those who are olfactorally challenged, except for hippies, who love it.

Here's some more artwork of the Oakland P.D. when protesters attempted to block shipments of supplies to our troops overseas...

I doubt they will get far. Think they’ll still be at it in a few hours?

I’m against OWS and it’s offspring, I’m against protests that block needed shipments of supplies.

I’m also against police brutality. That picture is proof of brutality. Sorry.

I'm against unneccessary police brutality.

But I'm in full 100% support of necessary police brutality.

SF is even whackier than Oakland, so I think they will let the protests go on.
