For my money, Pat has gone daft. The "Republican Base" is no where near conservative enough. The "base" of the GOP has been shifting left for years. That is how the nation has gotten to the low point we are currently enjoying. But then again what do I know? I haven't been a Big R Republican since 1998.

I think the #1 job of the stealth Democrat known as a RINO in the leadership of the GOP has been as I’ve posted numerous occasions the redefining of the meaning of Conservatism. It’s seemingly, to me anyway been a cause for them.
They’ve been working at it for a long time.
