“It’s the smartest thing Perry has done lately.”
Yes, it is time to bring in the ex-director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

If you were Rick Perry, would you keep your campaign the way it is and watch it stagnate or would you listen to your wife and do something about it?

Allbaugh is a pretty big name. Interesting he picked the Perry campaign considering the Bush/Perry bad blood.

I have a feeling Allbaugh and Perry were around each other during Giuliani's campaign, so it's not that surprising. It's telling that Allbaugh left the Bush camp before the 2004 election.

Good thought on that. The Perry campaign is apparently still serious about winning. This is almost like picking up a veteran at the baseball trading deadline to help a team out inside of ditching everybody and using all rookies.

You have to remember Perry has headed up the Republican Governor’s assoc for some time, those govs will help move the ground game when the time comes. Perry is by no means going this alone.
Why Anita is allowed any oxygen is beyond me, but then I’m not a fixer. Reagan’s people never clamped down on Nancy, and while the left had a field day with that, apparently there is some currency in potential FLOTUS having some air time. ?

Good for him. I’m still deciding, so it’s nothing that seal the deal or anything. As for this as a result of the wife’s suggestion, I don’t see any problem. If it’s the missus who saw the weakness of the campaign, good for her (and for him too!).

Yes, I do think he’s viable. Texas is a hard state to be a politician and he’s been re-elected a lot by people who seriously underestimated him.

But I thought the Perry camp and the Bush camp were mortal enemies? That's what I was told numberous times just a few short weeks ago.
Anita Perry sounds like another Hillary!

I don't think Allbaugh was all that invested in the Bush camp. He may have used those ties to make some money, but he didn't exactly involve himself with Bush's 2004 campaign.
