Romney’s biggest threat is Romney.
In this case it’s a “mercy killing”. For ALL of us.
You cannot kill one who is already dead.
Chris Lahane, now that’s who I want to take advice from.
/S
Why is it that some of us just ALWAYS tend to be drawn to the underdoggie, and the more Mitt wants to pound on Perry, the more I want to come and stand with him.
Rick Perry was Al Gore’s point man for Texas. That’s what killed Perry.
If Perry would talk about reforming the tax structure, reducing all the complexity and making it more competitive, he could probably bring his numbers back from the brink.
And the Republicans have a real chance to do that for the next couple of election cycles, assuming they don’t sabotage themselves along the way.
Romney is too smooth and too much of a polished liar to get caught when the media are intent on not touching him until the general election. Hence, someone will have to bring him down with his record. Perry's biggest challenge is therefore Romney. It helps him establish his "conservative" bona fides in the process and will force him to actually know what he's talking about.
Not much hope of that, is there?
Because it’s Mitt Romney doing the pounding.
If it had been Reagan doing the pounding, you’d pull up a chair and have a bag of popcorn in your lap.
I’ve always hated p*i*c*ks.
“Rick Perry was Al Gores point man for Texas. Thats what killed Perry”
Perry was a democrat when he supported Gore. Perry was a conservative democrat who suppported Al Gore. Who was he supposed to have supported?
Even when Perry was a democrat he was 1000 times more
conservative than the pro-abort liberal Max Headroom Romney.
Rick Perry is down but far from out. Mittens will be getting his comeuppance in about 3-4 weeks. Cain will be be down too and everyone will be reading about the Rick Perry comeback December if that’s when we have the first primaries
If Cain learns as fast as I think he will both Perry and Romney are done. He needs to spend a bit more time thinking before he answers questions. Whether he gets it together in time or not I don't know, but he's done himself a lot of needless damage.
Thank you for your pearls of wisdom.
Romney makes me gag.
Southern Democrats were more conservative than NE Republicans when Perry endorsed Gore...and still are today.
Cain endorsed NE liberal Republican Romney when?...2008?
Romney’s ad was just cobbled excerpts from the debate which he later had to pull after CNN complained. Perry put out a much better ad that day, a stylish compilation of Romney’s flip flops. The media showed both ads and I heard many comments that Perry’s ad was great.
