Should I have said "she"?

If so, even more delicious, LOL.

I grow a little impatient with the persistent trope "Europe was so traumatized by the war that..." because it always seems to be used to excuse its constituent nations from doing something that is difficult but in their self interests, such as paying more for defense and less for social services. Let's be honest here - "the war" ended sixty-six years ago and most people making the argument weren't born yet. And European history is peppered with wars of astonishing destructiveness whose effects were far longer-term than the latest war, and with precious little effect on long-term peace except to raise international conferencing to the high, useless art that it has become.

This one isn't difficult: if you don't want the people giving you money to attach strings to it, don't take it. If you don't want to be in a collective of nations dominated by the largest, strongest, wealthiest member, then don't join it. If you do both of those things anyway, then don't complain.

As countries struggle to pay their debts, only Chancellor Angela Merkel has enough money to haul them out of trouble.

Ummmmm,

Don't think so.

German aggression is soooooo 20th Century.

One benefit (as opposed to the huge negatives) of industrialized world pussification is that Germany and/or most other European nations are not tough enough to wage a large-scale war.

Thanks MinorityRepublican.

The Germans are 1 and 1 in 20th c wars with Russia.

They lost both WWs, ultimately, because of US involvement.

Why are there such big trees along The Avenue des Champs-Élysées ?

So the German Soldiers can march in the shade.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Why do so many Germans speak French ?

Because they go there so often.

Great news for me and 13.5 million other Jews. Man, I’ll sleep like a baby tonight.

Germans become the leader and dominant power in Europe not just because of their ambition, intelligence, hard work and will power
but also because most of the rest of Europe are a comparatively lazy, stupid, leeching freeloaders. If France and the entire southern tier from Portugal to Greece pursued excellence in education and productivity as Germans have historically done, there would be no threat from comparitvely more productive, educated and ambitious Germany.

In other words

The meek seek to protect themselves from the strong by having the strong handicap themselves INSTEAD OF the meek becoming strong.

Same thing in America with the socialist leeches insisting on the strong producers handicapping themselves while providing for the freeloaders.

What you and the other Jews should fear is Islamic Jihad.

You ignore that only at the risk of another Muslim perpetrated genocide.

Greece has defaulted repeatedly on its national debt since the early 1800’s. What’s happening with them now is pretty much a tradition. Not sure what the EU was thinking when they let Greece in.

The sun wasn’t “setting on the british empire” anywhere near the 1st world war. It was the losses of WW2 that forced England to give up its empire.

Germany is just as socialistic as Greece or France. The difference is that it has more population, more resources, and a tradition of scientific inquiry.

I spoke a bit too soon; it began fading quickly after WWII (India, Africa, etc.), I would certainly agree, although cracks deep in the foundation were starting given it’s concerns over containing the German juggernaut (focusing on local issues tends to take your eyes off of events further away...). However, I suppose the loss of the American Colonies 130 years earlier doesn’t count? That alone was, historically speaking, their greatest loss, given the outcome, wouldn’t you agree?

i don't think the size of it's population or the amount of it's resources has anything to do with how ambitious it population is nor how it spends it's tax revenue...

don't forget they had to assimilate East Germany too
