He has been solidly pro-life in every statement and interview before the CNN screw-up and solidly pro-life since.
Naturally,the elite GOP establishment RINOs (who are stupid enough to think Mitt can beat Obama) AND the Left (who are smart enough to know he can't beat Obama) want Romney to win so they collectively are out to destroy Cain-- commanding ALL their media-especially Fox News—to worry this one gaffe into an open festering sore.
One could compare it to the Perry “heartless” goof but Perry said what was both in his heart and on his record.
Rick Perry, again last night, reiterated his position, that being abortion should be illegal except in cases involving rape, incest, or where the life of the mother is in jeopardy.
This is the exact same position Reagan took. Does it mean Perry and Reagan place less or even no value on a human conceived via rape or incest? Or that they, as imperfect human beings, couldn't imagine themselves in a role solely reserved for God?
Cain's position is very admirable. As a Roman-Catholic I agree with him. I also could not ever see myself urging, or even demanding, that a lady carry forth with a pregnancy which was the result of her being raped by her father, or a hideous thug who assaulted her in a dark alley.
When Bachmann was leading, the MSM attacked her.
When Perry was leading, the MSM attacked him.
Now that Cain is leading........
FReepers need to temper their support for their “favorite” candidate, and not be unwitting dupes for the MSM, liberals, RINOs and Romney.
Cain fought back, telling the press Perry is resorting to tactics to discredit him.
“That is not true. He obviously did not take a look at the statement that I issued to clarify, I am pro-life. I have said it I don’t know how many times,” Cain said. “That is an attempt to try and discredit me.”
Cain launched a firestorm Wednesday evening when he suggested the government should not be involved in decisions on abortion.
“It’s not the government’s role or anybody’s role to make that decision,” Cain said Wednesday in an interview on CNN.
Cain attempted to stem the criticism today by simply explaining his position against abortion.

He had the same problem on the 2nd amendmendment.
Mr. Cain needs to get a top notch political team to coach him ASAP.
Perry has made no smear. Perry is pointing out deeds vs words. Yet in trying to "fix" what Cain has done you seek to tie Perry to Romney. Won't fly. And seeing that Cain has endorsed Romney in the past (and keeps giving him compliments and says he'd be a VP, pick Romney as his VP, but won't serve with Perry), wouldn't Cain/Romney be more appropriate?

It's rich for the Perry people to hit Cain on this nonsense, since it's not like Cain told people who don't support a "woman's right to choose" that they "don't have a heart".
It's rich for Rick Santorum (he has no "people") to hit Cain on this nonsense, since he supported radical pro-abortion Arlen Specter over pro-life Pat Toomey in the PA Senate Primary, doing Karl Rove's bidding.

I seem to be cooling on Cain because I am just not sure he has thought a lot of his stuff out. Maybe someone can help me with this...I will be retiring in 5 or so years. It seems with a national sales tax, my retirement income, which has already been taxed once, will be taxed again when I start using it to buy all my fishing supplies and the other necessities of retirement. Am I wrong here?
