Exactly. Also, it is very bad for our national security as well. Free trade is a lie. We need to look out for national interests first and foremost.

Welders who take the time required to learn more exotic metals can make more. And, experienced welders hired on to specific projects (typically requiring a 2-3 yr time commitment) can make considerably more.
Without O/T, those guys can make a pretty decent salary.. $45-50K. With O/T, I’ve known several who were exceeding $100k. Of course, you end up living in places SOME find less than desirable. But, I’ve always found the ability to enjoy anyplace that I lived.
