Since most politicians grow wealthy in office via graft, I have to quibble with that assumption. 4-8 years in federal office equals 2-3 million dollars. 6-12 in state office should get you at least 1-2 million. City and county will take a little longer but it's there for the taking and most take.
Since it usually takes a millionaire to properly bribe a politician, there has to be more millionaires than politicians. It is just simple math. However since this column is about American school's piss poor results in math and science, I can understand how a simple mistake like this could happen.
Ahh, True, but with all of the “failed” business ventures of late, it would appear they create there own rich folks to soak. ( aka green companies )
