Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed on Saturday issued a second ultimatum to Occupy Atlanta protesters who have camped out at a popular Downtown park: Leave or be arrested.

And if they don't leave, they will receive a strongly worded letter.
a second ultimatum
Isn’t that some kind of oxy-moron?
Next comes “Double Secret Probation”.
“...
He was very angry, very upset, said Franzen, who said the mayor began yelling right away after they entered the mobile unit.
...”

What Franzen actually said was:
He was very angry
He was very angry
Very upset
Very upset
He began yelling
He began yelling
Right away
Right away
Hahaha
I can see the fingers moving right now
Be sure to change the locks or move with out leaving a forwarding address.
They will be trying to come home soon.
My sentiments exactly. I keep checking the NYC weather reports for cold, rainy weather. So far, however, it's largely been maddeningly balmy! I wouldn't be surprised if Bloomberg totally caved and allowed them to install heated trailers in the park... I understand they have a half-million in a donated "fund" that could be used to pay for cozy digs.
He told them a couple of weeks ago to leave, but I think the liberal goons got thru to Kasim. We are in Atlanta after all...
When the occupiers denied John Lewis the chance to speak a lot of them didn’t know who he was.
A reporter for an alternative paper wrote up a report. Here’s part of it.
“I’ve been downtown supporting Occupy Atlanta quite a bit over the past week. The young people I see around me are working hard for everyone’s future. Still, I’ve heard them called an ignorant, racist mob, spoiled brats and worse...and that was by some liberals!
We put out a call this past Monday for a group to go hand-deliver a letter of invitation to Rep. John Lewis. A young man named Roger volunteered to take it.
“I was one of the people last Friday who didn’t want John Lewis to speak,” he explained, “And when I denied him, I didn’t know who he was. I asked my friends and family, they didn’t know who he was.”
Roger isn’t some snotty white kid from somewhere out of town. He is a local young black man. Visibly upset, he said, “I was ashamed that I didn’t know my own history.”
What gets me is that most likely all of them will refer to this as a big life accomplishment probably for the rest of their lives- possibly even putting it on a resume.
“I was in Occupy WS.”
“Oh yeah? Portland.”
“Right on, man.”
Seriously, like this is something meaningful, as if they changed history in a positive way. Just have a big rave and make some inane demands to be able to continue your empty lifestyle of sleeping on your parents couch and waking at noon without having to work or bear responsibility for anything.
At least they have health insurance, thankyouNancyPelosi. This allows them to participate in these types of actions without having to worry about healthcare.
More likely a disease from the unsanitary conditions there. Once a bug starts... it will sweep through their camps pretty much unchecked until they disperse.
Second ultimatum? Kinda loses the punch, eh?
“We’ve changed the locks on the doors and are celebrating freedom!”
“Can’t wait for the cold November rains to come to NYC. There might be 20 of them left to arrest.”
Wow. Thread hijacked on the first response.
This story is about Atlanta if you bothered to read.
Wouldn’t it be horrible if dogs and firehoses were used to clear the rabble out of the park? Not really.
