Romney is an exception to that rule. He has to be taken out or he will destroy everyone else in the race until he does.

Based on what? He certainly didn't "destroy" everyone else in the race in 2007/2008. He is behind in virtually every poll. He hasn't been able to improve his poll numbers even though he's been running for years. I just don't see what the fear is based on. It looks to me like any strong conservative candidate will roll over him.

His campaign put out smears on Palin after he was already out and McCain had the nomination. He knew if they won in 08 he was finished for ever running again.
