With Muammar Qaddafi finally out of the picture, Republican lawmakers are pressing the U.S. to open its wallet to help the new regime in Libya rebuild its nation, restore essential services and care for those wounded in the eight-months-long bloody conflict – an expense they say oil-rich Libya can and will reimburse.
“They’re willing to reimburse us. It’s not a matter of money,” Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told Fox News, making a tough sales pitch in an era of high unemployment and increasing austerity.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., noted that the Libyans’ top request was for help in tending to the country’s wounded and that the French and Germans have reached agreements with the new government to treat them.

The U.S. “role” in rebuilding Libya involves one thing...MONEY!
Native Libyans of sound mind and judgement will rebuild Libya. No one else and with no else’s money. Not the Brits or French. What’s left of the Libyan population, assuming popular divination, will determine the outcome of Moammar’s demise. No one else. We can’t no matter the dollars.
They have to devise a government, constitution, monetary system, and enforcement force in order to even think of sending them any funds.
If Libya has the money to reimburse us, then they have the money to rebuild.
No thanks, along with the Iran war for the “Saudi bomb plot.”

After ten years what do we have to show for that " good for big business deal"? Billions of tax payers dollars gone, a dead tyrant we could have killed anytime we wanted to in the preceding ten years with a bullet or a bomb.
We had an Iraq with a tyrant that was living in the 17th century that hated us before and now we have a 17th century Iraq with new tyrants that hate us now.
We have Businesses, businessmen and politicians that were rich and powerful then and or more rich and powerful now.
Now the worst of all our soldiers, hundreds dead, hundreds more maimed, wounded,living with nightmares,families torn, struggling to piece together some kind of life while those who sent them and got richer are cutting their medical and retirement benefits so that they can continue to furnish people like Ham-mas and the PLO with their own terrorist welfare state on land they take from the free state of Israel.
Just reading the title how did I know it involved McCain and his lap dog Graham?? NO McLAME...HECK NO GRAHAMNESTY! McCain apparently has a lifetime pass to the Senate but I for one am going to make sure Litte Lindsey’s time expires in 2014!!!!!
