What kind of production does Cain have in mind? Gonna build some steel mills in the inner city? More convenience stores? Production cannot be summoned up so easily when the Chinese can produce everything cheaper. This is why we need tariffs. Slash regulations too that keeps moron bureaucrats “employed”

As far as I know, unemployment remains unchanged for now but it is down slightly. Support for right to work laws is on the rise.

Like I said, why zones, why not do the same for the whole country?

Because the rest of the country is where the jobs will come from. Like when a state offers tens of millions in tax breaks to get a warehouse or factory moved there.

It would be easier to wipe out these regulations for the whole country than create a new bureaucracy to monitor and administer these “zones”.
