The New York Times piece Lee refers to here is the most appalling piece of race-baiting I’ve read in years. You can read my write-up about it at Big Journalism [1]. The reaction the Times was looking for is exactly this kind of thing from Spike Lee.

Again, this is ALL GOOD (I mean, nobody likes being called these names, but what strategically, in military terms, does it show you? The ENEMY has advanced from Stage One to Stage Two and onto Stage Three of what Mahatma Gandhi said what happens to underdogs who in sincerity, truth and justice take on oppressive powers.) Herman Cain speaks truth to corrupt, evil, illegitimate narcissitic totalitarian power on issues only (and solutions), and gets this is response. No surprise.

Spike is an example of what Booker T. Washington warned about 100 years ago:

Cain, like Sarah before him, is an existential threat to the Democrat Party’s very existence.
Without the slave black vote, Democrats become a smear in the pages of history, and they know it.
Now that Cain has become a real threat to Obama, the power base of the Race Hustlers, and the Dems inner-city vote, HE MUST BE DESTROYED.
The gays running the New York Times know this, too.
Get ready for Cain to be Palin’d, and you won’t be hearing a SINGLE cry of “RACISM!” from any of the usual suspects, either. After all, he is just an escaped slave from the Democrat Plantation.

I don’t get the cornbread issue, but then I happen to like cornbread myself (except the sweet kind). In his book Cain says that the “Cornbread” moniker goes way back, back to the days when he used it as a CB radio handle. It seems innocent enough to me — but then I’m not of the race-baiting persuasion.

I think it’s also a sign that some blacks are definitely reconsidering their opinion of Obama and the Dems.
Too bad some blacks aren’t more red white and blue instead of being so wrapped up in the methods used to bring some of their ancestors to the “new world”. If you can’t see the advantage to your disadvantage, you are likely to remain disadvantaged your entire life.
Now there is a rant I can get behind. Well said from half way around the world, well almost half way. I suppose it depends on which coast I’m measuring from, and actually I didn’t look, I’m guessing.
What could a sneering little bigot, who made his name brown-nosing the “no excuse is too preposterous” crowd, possibly have to say to a man who aspires to lead all of the free world?
