I wasn’t there when she had to be put to sleep.
I was at work and coudln’t be there.
She held on until I used DirectConnect and told her ‘goodnight’.
Yep. They wait. DrO couldn’t belive that Jack rose up to jump from the couch to the floor to be next to me when I wen to the computer to write DJ the FR Mail. He just had to be next to me. Of course, I quickly picked him and went back to the sofa/couch to sit with him, massage him and then later he drank his ice water that I held for him, and then he wanted to lie down with me on my pillow, so we did and we both fell asleep but he didn’t wake up.
He died peacefully, in his sleep. Without a whimper. His face was next to mine. That’s how he slept when I stayed down stairs with him and that’s how he slept with me when he was a puppy. Nothing changed.
