The strays can be so much less trusting. Removing ticks from a cooperative animal is difficult enough.

Our dogs don't like it, although one doesn't mind so much because he knows he's getting a treat afterward. He's very food-driven.

Smokey loves to be petted but is still not really trusting. After she’s done eating she has no use for me. LOL
