ACCIDENTAL

As a kid I had a snail that I purloined from a park near Toledo. I had him for 2 years. I have never eaten escargot. Just didn’t sound good to me.

My husband bought me liverwurst once, because I had mentioned having it as a child. My mother always loved it! I remember her making us sandwiches with white bread, mustard and liverwurst. :)

We spoil them and love doing it. No matter where Mandy was, she’d get a whiff of Hubby making a sandwich and she’d follow him and sit at his feet begging like doggies do. She was really an odd animal. She liked messing with anything electronic too.

In San Diego, snails are a terible infestation in gardens!
We can’t kill enough of them!

Brown snails. They’re awful.

I’ve eaten Escargo twice. Won’t ever again.

Yes, but you have to be careful which liverwurst you buy. There’s some I won’t eat and I love liverwurst. It has to be in the larger roll, not a tube.

This one was no bigger than a dime and he was on a path in the park. Grandma sighed when she saw that I had it in the car on the way home. Grandpa just laughed. She wasn’t too happy about the toad either.

I do and I don’t. She gave me fits with her antics. They’re great stories to tell but I’m glad they are now just stories. Turning off the alarm clock, recording messages on the answering machine, 3 times! We had to “Mandy proof” stuff.

We didn’t get mosquitoes but became infested with ticks. They like cloudy days and high grass.

Grandpa fed him so I don’t know. I couldn’t have been more than 8. He was in a fish bowl with sand and rocks with a tiny bit of water in a lid.

Oh, yeah. The toad was Mr Terwilliger. I brought him home and he lived under the garbage can stand. The fly population was decimated so Grandma let him stay. LOL
