In a healthy society, elderly people are treated with respect, even reverence. This kind of attack shows how far our culture has devolved.

I think you mean black culture. I live in an overwhelmingly white area and nothing like this ever happens. It's low crime and filled with decent hard working Americans.

I live in a low crime area as well.....by choice. I am 20 miles from the city, and the few neighbors I have are all packing heat. Of course, in Arizona it is not uncommon to see a rancher with a six gun strapped on in a grocery store. Travis laid out a plan for where one should live a few times here. I took it to heart : )
