IF they are enforcing US safety and driver standards on Mexican vehicles, I’d say this would be a good thing. Its ultimate effect would be to force improvement of everything that US businesses and people have to deal with that comes from Mexico or exists in the border area, ranging from roads to driver standards to trucking regulations.
If they just plan to let in anything with wheels, however, this is a seriously bad idea.
