Two of Americas most active national tea party organizations say former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has made no effort to win them over, despite his apparent need to attract more grassroots support.
As far as I am aware, weve had no contact with Romneys campaign, nor have any of his representatives reached out, Mark Meckler, co-founder and national coordinator of Tea Party Patriots, told The Daily Caller.
Meckler, however, acknowledged: We havent had a lot of contact with the candidates in general, though [congresswoman Michele] Bachmann, [businessman Herman] Cain, and [former House Speaker Newt] Gingrich have all spent a lot of time attending and speaking at a variety of local tea party events.

Cain already has said he’d pick Romney for his VP, as long as Romney would endorse 999. His doubling down on backing Romney only reinforces what has been suspected all along.
(And sorry, pal, you didn’t screw up anyone’s argument but your own.)
Like most RINOs - Bush 41, Dole, Bush 43, Mccain - they have no interest in BECOMING President. Getting the nomination is sufficient. After all, who wants the headaches and responsibility for running this dysfunctional country.
Yes, dysfunctional in that we are split along ideological lines, even down to families. Not since the War of Yankee Agression has brother been pitted against brother. We are people sharing the same land composed of two factions: those who live by a system of laws and those who want no laws.
Look no farther than the scum lawyers representing the 80 protesters arrested in OWS New York. They threaten to shut down the court system unless all charges are dropped. Talk about contempt of court!
There can be no good resolution if these two factions keep fighting.
Therein lies your problem and understanding of Mr. Cain. He already knows Romney would not in a snowballs chance in hell sign on to the 999. Listen to EVERYTHING he has to say. Hold it for an instant and then play it backwards like the Beatles album. (just kidding about the album)
But he is far more complex than his folksy persona suggests and his comments are meant to be though provoking, not easily digested sound bites.
I will never vote for Romney and I suspect at the end of the day, if he is nominated, alot of Tea Party folks will work to Deep Six him in the general election with votes for libertarian and U.S. Constitution Party candidates.
lol! Funny stuff HR!
