You know Perry has been nothing but respectful of all the candidates except Romney. This ridicule of Perry by some on our side with no real reason to vote for their candidate makes me think even more that Perry will win the nomination.

Mocking and trying to tear down Perry on a personal level is worthless. I listen for plans and ideas and who seems most likely to implement them.

Cain has nothing but a good personality.

I have no idea what Mitt will do.

i don't know if Newt will succumb to the old Washington ways once he's there.

I know Perry is serious because he's spent the last 12 years dealing with unfunded mandates and Washington sticking their nose in states business. I actually believe Perry will do what he says. He may be rough around the edges, he's not a professional speaker. He may have some cheesiness to him, he's never run for President, he's from outside Washington.

I think a Perry/Gingrich or a Perry/Cain ticket would be a good one. They would balance each other out on the strength and weakness issues.

He maybe a serious person, but is he a serious candidate? Twice now, his wife has publicly stated that he's running because of her, not because he wanted to. He's still Governor of Texas, so he's not committing himself 100% to his campaign, or he believes that he might not win and wants to make sure he's still got an elected office to go back to. He's useless to his fatcat donors if he doesn't have an office.

he's never run for President, he's from outside Washington.

He may be from outside Washington, but he's not an outsider. If you look at his donors to his gubernatorial campaigns, over 40 people have donated at least $300,000 apiece, up to and including in the millions, and they are people that have benefited richly from their connections to him. Remember the Gardasil/Merck vaccine flap? He signed that because his good friend and former chief of staff was a lobbyist for Merck. That same good friend and former chief of staff, as a lobbyist, has lobbied for folks who have gotten billions in state contracts over the past few years.

Perry is most definitely not a political outsider.
