Many folks are really cheapening the Presidency by being so obsessed with debates.

Presidents do not and must not govern in 30 seconds sound bites and 3 seconds zingers. Seriously folks, stop the insane overrating of the importance of debates.

Seriously folks, stop the delusional thinking that Rick Perry is a conservative - He is Juan McCain with better hair, cowboy boots, slower speech, a lower IQ and a texan accent.

I suspect if someone’s candidate were ahead in the polls they would think debates were great!

More people have watched these debates than ever before and it is an opportunity for American’s to see and hear their choices of the nomination of the POTUS.

How else would you propose we get a look at the candidates?

This! Debates are words. We want and need someone who can get things done.

I tend to disagree my friend. The debates are a gauge of how sharp each candidate is and how quickly he/she can respond. I do disagree with the formats however. No debate should have more than two candidates, just have more of them. But, unfortunately, the debates are a tool of the media for the media and not for the electorate......
