“At some point in the process there needs to be decisions made about who is to be removed,” she said. “It cost in the neighborhood of $23,000 to $30,000 to actually remove somebody. That’s our cost, [it] doesn’t include Justice Department cost. The Congress gives us the ability to finance removals of 400,000 people a year.”

First of all, removing 400,000 per year puts us way behind when there are at least 20 million here. Also, I saw on news last night that private jets are chartered to fly illegals back to Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, etc. We are in really, really bad shape with this cancerous problem. It's costly when they stay and costly to remove 'em, especially when they return again and again.

One thing I'd like Republican candidates to address is this sob story of how our "immigration system separates families." That is a choice that the deported adult makes when they leave their babies behind and they do it all the time to get the free education and all the other free stuff.

Putting an American in prison for a serious crime separates them from their family as well. Do we not punish the guilty?
Whereas a family can follow their illegal freely to the illegal’s homeland.

That’s the argument to make on that one. No way for a lib to counter it.
