To: eater-of-toast
As I recall things Texas is one of the states that had a religious test for immigration. You had to be a baptised Catholic. No Protestants were allowed.

Did you miss that part of Texas history?

Even today it's a majority Catholic area.

Protestants must feel the pressure and understand their presence isn't really wanted.

As far as JFK and the ministers were concerned, JFK wasn't really a good Catholic. None of the Kennedy crowd are you know.

Now, understanding all of that why are you being so hard on the Protestants in Texas? Could it be that you'd like for them to leave?!

I’m a Protestant, myself. I just disapprove of Pastor Jeffress and others who attack whole branches of Christianity. All they have to do is give up making these needless attacks, and I’ll have no beef with them.

As for the immigration issue, your problem is with Perry and not me. Unlike Perry the cheap labor enthusiast, I support stopping illegal immigration cold, deporting all illegals, and sharply reducing legal immigration.
