I don't doubt that there is a contingent that will do just that. There are some here that remind me so much of the piece of dust on the Swiffer commercials - they run and attach themselves to the latest candidate that has a knack for putting together pretty words.
Sooner or later, it's going to come down to the two best financed and organized candidates - I hope a lot of people will come around and decide to get behind the most conservative of the two that has the best chance to win. Let's give it a month - and then we'll see who the latest "flavor of the week" is.
As Cain is now pulling in about $1 million a week, don’t count him out. Newt seems to be in the most financial trouble at the moment. Regarding cash on hand, Romney may have to write himself another check. Most of Perry’s came right after he announced. Since the people have seen him, the contributions appear to be dwindling.
I wish I could stay away a month and see what happens.
I think you are right.
Perry is the conservative who has the money and the organization.
Romney is the moderate/liberal who has money and organization.
Cain has a lot of bandwagon fans who’ve become oddly obsessed with him but no money and no organization and he seems strangely uninterested in creating an organization although I understand he’s launched an e-mail plea for money.
That is the saddest statement I have seen in a while. If only money matters and ideas or character are irrelavent, then why bother?
