As an unmarried young Catholic, I find this statement offensive.

Yes, faith is important, and it’s important to obey what the church teaches, especially when it goes against your natural inclinations.

It's offensive because it's true. Let it go.

Described as a "nominal Southern Baptist" when philanderer, Newt's been attending Catholic mass with wife Callista for a decade and became a formal convert to Catholicism a few years ago.
