I know there is a major blood vessel in the upper thigh area but not the knee. I’m sort of wondering how one dies from a knee shot?!

And where did she actually hit him to kill him? If her shot hit him a bit higher than the knee, say in the femoral artery, well it wouldn't take long before he'd be pushing up the daisies.

That said, why was she taught to aim for the knee? And where did she actually hit him to kill him?She was aiming for his knee but the first shot hit him in the spine and the next 8 shots hit him in the ass, back and nutz.
This post is not an actual representation of the facts, only my hope for a change.

That said, why was she taught to aim for the knee? The perp was carrying a kidnap victim.
I SPECULATE that she may possibly have received training which hypothetically suggested that in such a case, the defending citizen should shoot the perp in the legs to avoid injuring the kidnap victim.
