I do not support having the following concurrently:
- state sales tax
- federal sales tax
- state income tax
- federal income tax
Honestly, I do not support having an income tax at all. Make the F’ing federal sales tax 18% and make income taxes illegal with a clause that any elected official who tries to implement one, EVER again, instantly forfeits their life and the lives of their family.
It would have to be 21-28%, the rate estimates vary because of underreporting or poverty offsets.
Obviously you can't prevent income tax returning without repealing the 16th amendment. Class warfare would bring the income tax back at the top levels almost immediately and soon it would trickle down into lower brackets murdering the economy.
999's guard is visibility of the rate and everyone being made a taxpayer. I'm sure in the future, class warfare could be a problem but it always is so long as we keep electing such politicians.
Hope you get elected; good luck!
I don’t know how many states have both sales and income taxes. But with Herman Cain’s plan, state taxes would remain, but Federal income tax would NOT remain. Prices on new goods would be lower because rather than pay the 22% we now pay, only the final sales price would be taxed at 9%. All people, including underground and tax cheats would be paying their fair share! Except for Social Security everyone would get their full check on pay day! And Mr. Cain has a plan for Social Security plan as well, which would NOT be a Ponzi scheme.
The disinformation going out on 999 is the only weapon the left has on Mr. Cain. So it is imperative that people understand the plan which is now posted on Mr. Cain’s website. Truth is very important here, as it is everywhere. I think he handled it vry well last night,k considering the little time he was given.
As another poster explained on this thread, there is a 22% hidden tax on goods you buy, before any sales tax. That 22% tax paid by corporations along the chain of manufacturing steps drops to 9%. 22% > 9% corporate tax + 9% sales tax.
