I don't believe public schools that push acceptance of homosexuality are "practical." I think they're evil.

That's true, but not everyone has the ability to home-school or to afford the cost of a private school. In that event, one might consider doing what I've done: talk to your friends and neighbors and speak up loudly at school board meetings.

Private schools and home schooling are both excellent alternatives - but they are not practical for everyone.
The truth is that America used to have the best public schools in the world....
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

When did it become “practical” to teach children to think and reason godlessly and become comfortable with accepting a socialist service? Huh? Is **ANY** credential, certificate, scholarship, or diploma worth that?

Honestly, it would be **better** for children to never attend than to be taught to think and reason godlessly and be taught to be comfortable with socialism. Illiteracy and innumeracy can be fixed. Citizens ( who, by the way, have attended socialist schools) do it all the time. But....Can godlessness and many of its temporal and eternal consequences be fixed?

Re: Quality of American education

Yes, indeed! Alex de Tocqueville noted that Americans were the most educated and literate in the world...but...that was **before** we had socialist schooling.

Socialist programs are doomed to fail, and this was true of socialist schooling when it was first forced upon Americans in the mid-1800s to early 1900s. Failure was inevitable.

Also...At its very best, socialist schooling was generically lukewarm in its Protestantism. Well! We know what Christ does with the lukewarm. He spits them out of His mouth! It didn't take long before the socialists in the U.S. pushed socialist schooling into godless secularism. My grandmother ( born 1894) attended godlessly secular socialist schools that merely gave a lukewarm nod to god in the morning.

Give it up! Socialism and godlessness can not be reformed. It must be abolished. We must begin the process now!

Bump your post!

The public schools are the very front lines of the engorged modern State’s total war against human society.

At this time, it is hard to be optimistic, except in the very long run.

Respectfully, I believe that "not everyone can" is a very weak argument. Almost everyone could, if they'd make the alternative a priority; and providing one's child with a superior education in a non-corrupt environment ought to be a priority.

To those who say homeschooling and other alternatives are "not affordable," I would show them the example of this gay-foisting public school and ask, "Is this affordable?"

I would go further than just homosexuality.

Socialist schooling is corrupt because NO education is religiously neutral. Religiously neutral is an impossible metaphysical state of being! It is impossible for socialist schooling to choose a religiously neutral worldview! Godlessness isn't neutral. Protestantism isn't neutral. And...generically lukewarm religious pap isn't neutral. ( We are told Christ spits the lukewarm out of His mouth!)

Socialist schooling is morally corrupt because it is **socialist**. Merely by attending children learn that government can use its threat of police force to take money from a neighbor to fund the socialist school. Children learn to be comfortable with the concept that government police force can **compel** citizens to use the socialist school program and fund it.

The very foundation of socialist schooling is morally corrupt!

a play depicting a world in which homosexuality is normative and heterosexuals take up the role of “outcasts.”

Like Sodom and Gomorrah

Any that actively urge parents to consider removing their children from public schools? If not, it might be time to start one.

Yes,....Exodus Mandate. Just type “Exodus Mandate” into Bing or Google and go to their website. They are doing very good work.

As an example, the cost of living in New England is extremely expensive relative to the rest of the country. Two salaries and often, more are necessary to live here. Both my wife and I work full-time and I have a consulting job on the side. You can't simply quit your job and expect to pay the mortgage. That's just reality.

What we do is to monitor our daughter's lesson plans and homework and provide her with access to the same conservative and religious information and ideas of which we make use. As a result, she has actively begun to question her course material and her teachers and happily brings alternative viewpoints to her classroom. We're proud of her for being a rebel.

Yes....Speak to your neighbors and friends. Encourage them to abandon the godless socialist schools immediately. NOTHING is worth it. No credential, certificate, diploma, scholarship, babysitting benefit, job, career, or personal convenience is worth having your child learn to think and reason godlessly or learning to be comfortable with socialism.

**Nothing** is worth it!

Going to the socialist education collective meeting ( mis-named “school board” ) is merely validating the godless and socialist system.

Contact your local homeschooling group. They will give you **thousands** ( yes, **thousands**) of examples of people who are homeschooling whose income is less than your salary alone or that of your spouse.

Actually, I've found that going to school board meetings helps to inform others of what is going on behind the school doors that they might otherwise not know about, especially things that the Educrats want to keep hidden from public view.

It also helps you to link up with like-minded community members and join forces with them, rather than working in isolation, as too many of us have felt compelled to do. If we're going to win this battle, we need to work with each other.

From my understanding, they did know the caused someone to vomit and were quite amused by it. This wasn’t a peck either... it was saliva swapping, intense kissing.

When many of the Catholic schools around here grew too expensive for “Catholic-sized” families, some parents got together, leased a building, and started hiring their own teachers, with an eye to keeping tuition low. When you see a Parish decrease the sibling discount, and then in the next breath crow about $200k in smartboards going into classrooms where the catechism textbook teaches more about Social Justice than the Real Presence, it’s enough to make you want to cry....

Abathar said it best. Before homosexual behavior became a topic, peoples bodies stii reacted negatively to such a sight. Your body knows that it is wrong and reacts as it would when ingesting any revolting substance. You puke.
