Christian people often call each other “sister” or “brother”.... meaning Sister or Brother in Christ.
Im sure that is what he meant and not what you are thinking .
I agree with you, but that’s not the world we live in and what he said, on a racial/cultural stage is just not appropriate. His handlers need to help him move beyond that and call opponents by name, or position.
