This 9% sales tax cannot be separated from the whole plan. Under the plan, certain taxes that companies currently pay will be removed. Other taxes will be reduced. These tax changes will affect the entire chain of product production. Prices WILL go down. It will only take a few brave entrepreneurs who see these price-dropping opportunities and take advantage of them in order to gain market share. And for most non-retired Americans, the total tax burden will go down.
