Romney was the big loser in this debate. He lost his cool and became across as a huge jerk. I doubt his weak leaners are going to be too happy with this.
You really shouldnt speak of that which you dont know. I was raised a Lutheran, thank you, and half of my family is Catholic.
- - —
I noticed you didn’t mention YOUR religion, just what you were raised and what your family is.
BTW, I was raised Presbyterian before I joined the Mormon church. And your religion is no secret around here.
And I just responded to that same post. I know exactly what I am talking about, your words have already given you away on other threads.
I don't really like the 999 plan - I think that by the time it would finally get around to being passed it would in no way resemble the original plan - BUT - I sell antiques, and if that were true about "used" goods - that would be quite a boon to my business!
Never going to happen though.
That last 9% is tax on earnings saved, and Already Taxed..
I have a life, a new life in Jesus Christ. It took me realizing the lies of Mormonism to find Him.
“I’ve had it with these guys. Krauthammer, Rove, Coulter et al...people that at one time I really respected. Now, I can’t stand them - they absolutely hate true conservatives and anyone outside of the elite establishment. I despise them. I can hardly watch FOX anymore because of it.
Am I the one that is changing - or are they?”
Totally agree. These people have become a joke. They have attached themselves to Romney the same way the MSM attached themselves to Obama in 2008, and as they continue to shill for this phony RINO re-tread, they lose every ounce of credibility they once had. No one respects (or even cares) what they have to say anymore.
Read clearly what she typed. She didn’t mention HER religion, which doesn’t surprise me.
And I wouldn’t vote for Romney no matter what his religion is. I happen to know more about his religion than most people, but I still wouldn’t vote for him even if he claimed to be an Evangelical.
You pay 9% on top of earnings
>Yes, some people on fixed incomes or on low incomes will have to pay a sales tax, just like I do of 9% in California, but overall, they will benefit in the long run.<
And the price they pay for that particular item, even with the 9% tax, will still be cheaper or at worst the same price it is now, because now the corporation isn’t being soaked with confiscatory tax rates.
I’ll sing praise to Gary Herbert, the governor of my great state, and Ezra Taft Benson, as well. If you want to drag these great conservative men into your sewer of hate, as is your wont, by all means do so. I’m not LDS. I certainly don’t invite any of the fine conservative LDS folks I know to this site, and they detest Romney as much as I do. At least the mods remove the anti-negro posts here, lest the mainstream picks up on them... anti-mormon must be the new cool.
It’s a straw man argument, and can only degrade the political force of this site. Should we join the occupiers and denounce Jewish bankers too?
Could be as some evangelicals use the term, Perry not pretending he’s a soul brother.
I would love to see Rush Limbaugh and his “Two If By Tea” business sponsor a debate. My fantasy - Rush, Mark Steyn, and Michele Malkin asking the questions, maybe Glenn Beck too. Why can’t we have debates run by conservatives?
You and others who try to make this case, tend to ignore the hidden taxes they'd already be paying that are baked into current prices for goods and services. While those taxes will become visible, the consumers may not really pay more in total.
If businesses in the future are like all other businesses, the tax will be passed on to the next guy in a higher price.
Wow! That would be the dream team of hosts! The GOP country club would never, ever let it happen. They want you to hold your nose... why CNN? Yup, there ya have it.
One more time:
(1) The 9-9-9 plan is not a VAT tax as stated by some.
(2) Most of us already pay state sales taxes on top of our federal taxes already. Either way, we pay state sales taxes in addition to our federal taxes. 9-9-9 simply changes the way our federal taxes are collected.
(3) 9-9-9 is far superior to the current code, or any other of the candidates proposals, all of which are based on the current code in terms of stimulating economic growth and productivity. 9-9-9 is mainly “revenue neutral”
(4) 9-9-9 lessens the chances for congress to attack America with tax hikes. 9-9-9 cuts the six major streams of federal revenue to three streams of federal revenue.
5) While it does not cut taxes for everyone, it cuts taxes for those that work and pay taxes and create value, the people that hire and create jobs and pay taxes, and will result in the economy improving in a very fast period of time.
(6) It will lower the cost of products as the cost to transport food, clothes, etc...will be lower, and that people will have money to buy things again (remember those days?) and sellers would be competitive, lowering prices on goods and services.
(7)Just like the “gas wars” analogy I used the other nite, once one retailer lowers their price, other retailers will either have to match it or risk losing business.
Cain’s web site is inaccessible right now, as it is likely being slammed, but I suggest all those that doubt this plan go and read the specifics once the site traffic slows.
And I like Cain’s idea of instead of a 5% across the board spending cut, or a “Millionaires tax”, Cain wants to examine each and every Government program and determine if it should be cut 5%, 50%, or 100%
Just like he did with the menu at BK and Godfather’s, which is how he made those companies profitable.
He examined which menu items should be raised in price, lowered in price and by how much, or if they should be eliminated from the menu altogether.
With the exception of a couple of other candidates, Cain is the most conservative of them all.
I was embarrassed by the behavior of some of these guys tonight.
Ain't that the truth!I'd pay to see that.
I worked for ET Benson’s son, Reed. He was a nice man but taken advantage of. He also was mentally incompetent the last few years of his life (even according to his son) and his counselors lied to their own members about it. It was a wake up moment for me as a Mormon when I found out.
Last time I checked we still have freedom of speech in this country and your comparison of speaking out against a heretical group to racism or anti-semitism is appalling. I do not speak from ignorance, I speak from experience.
