Everybody calm down. Listen to what Cain actually said before passing judgement, rather than what this article’s summary of what he said is.

It’s only 1 min 23 seconds. Listen to Cain before posting here:

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/10/18/herman-cain-sure-i-can-see-myself-releasing-everyone-at-gitmo-in-exchange-for-one-u-s-pow/

He didn’t say he would release everyone at Gitmo.

The question posed to him was “Could you see yourself making that kind of call.” Cain’s answer was yes, in the sense that Presidents are called upon to make tough decisions - tough judgment calls — and he was saying he could make a judgement call if he had to. But he would need to know allll of the information, allll the input, considered allll of the options, but then the President has to be the President, and make that call.

There’s way too much reaction to these articles without people listening to Cain’s words directly. Trust, but verify. Listen to the video.

Thanks for posting the link to the video. This was clearly a quote taken completely out of context. The interesting thing here is how many people will condemn someone before watching easily accessible video of the supposed offense. Ridiculous!
