if you want to cut the cost and size of government, it isn’t just someone else’s benefits that get cut.
I can look at the pictures all night and day, but it doesn’t change the fact that even after the changes, military veterans (the majority who have never been in actual front line combat and the vast majority never wounded in battle) will still have far better benefits than most people. 200$ for a year of healthcare? that ain’t that much. Most people pay far more than that
