The Liberal Church of Herman Cain
CNN ^ | October 18 2011 | By Eric Marrapodi and John Blake, CNN

Posted on 10/18/2011 1:14:30 PM PDT by jgge

...."Cain’s views on race aren’t simplistic, Robinson says. Cain says he doesn’t think racism is a huge obstacle for blacks, but Robinson says Cain has privately told him it’s a problem and once even complained about “the good ol’ boy” network in Georgia Republican politics.

“He knows there’s racism in the tea party, but he’ll never say that because they are his supporters. That bothers a lot of people, but he plays to that base not because he’s a sellout but because he’s a politician,” Robinson says."

Hey, Rev. Robinson. Quit your political analysis job and go play professional poker. That will put your mind reading powers to the test.

Very complimentary article of Herman Cain.

Cain may be right after all when he says he might be able to get 30% of the black vote.

Nobody at CNN questioned the statement that alleged racists (anti-black in this case) support a black candidate? How does that happen?

This information is actually favorable to Cain, but the headline tries to give it a negative spin.

Liberal hmm.

In 1993 Cain was one of the leaders fighting Clinton care, the forerunner to Obama care.

What was Rick Perry, jgge’s canidate, doing in 1993?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Perry#Early_political_career

In 1993, Perry, while serving as Texas agriculture commissioner, expressed support for the Clinton health care reform proposal, describing it as “most commendable.” The health care plan was ultimately unsuccessful due to Republican congressional opposition.[23][24][25][26][27] In 2005, after being questioned on the issue by a potential opponent in the Republican governor primary, Perry said that he expressed his support only in order to get Clinton to pay more attention to rural health care.[28]

The article merely reinforces the fact that Cain is a man of deep faith who can get along with those who don't agree with him. Very positive.

CommunistNetworkNews can take their “report” wrap it into a thin tube and insert it where they collective suns don't shine.

Right now, Cain is way ahead in most polls, he's a rock solid Conservative, he's light-years ahead of Romney and no other Conservative comes anywhere close to him. Nor is this an endorsement by default. Cain is a true American success story. He is a man who can think out of the box, and who knows what its like to live and SUCCEED in the REAL business world - OUTSIDE of silver-spoon-in-the-mouth limousine liberals. He has also been outspoken in his criticisms of Obama and has the intelligence and sharpness of wit to beat him in a debate.

Cain is my man, and CNN can go to hell - where they probably are already.

I agree. I would bet lots of Freepers are members of congregations with Democrats also in the pews.

I like the fact that Cain continues to maintain strong conservative principles year after year even while being among liberals. That is a mark of character and integrity.

I went and read the entire article, not just the excerpt you posted. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is very favorable to Cain. In fact, the only thing that could possibly be controversial is what you, a known Cain hater, excerpted. Shocking.

Liar! You take 2 sentences out of a 4 paragraph letter aimed at convincing Hilary and her commission to examine the health care needs of rural communities, and focus solely on those in a pathetic effort to stretch what was said into his supporting her.

It is both as dishonest as anything Obama says from his teleprompter, and juvenile.

I guess that proves that CNN is telling the truth here. They're doing the same thing you are . . . twisting the story to convey a dishonest impression.

MNJohnnie is just as committed to the truth as CNN.
