If it was a rare bat then that would mean that there would be few of the same species around. Maybe the bat was lonely, couldn’t take the solitude any more, and committed suicide? Who are we to disrespect their wishes?

I was wondering why we don’t see much from “The Onion” around here any more - and here’s my answer: satirists just can’t write anything as wildly outrageous as the Libs come up with (with a perfectly straight face) on a daily basis...

Oh for heaven's sake! The green weenies are chewing on their own tails. One of these days, they will disappear as they eat themselves alive.

Of course, that would be good news for the rest of us.

Even if the windmills are shut down at night, they will still fulfill 100% of their mission. Sure, power generation will drop off by 50%, but that was never the primary reason for windmills, anyway.

Turning windmills are designed to make people feel good by convincing them that they are somehow moral, because they support “green” projects. Since they can’t be seen at night, it really makes no sense to run them. Might as well save some wear and tear.

OMG! a bat was killed in Indiana. What are we to do. The loss-the tragedy. Not only was this bat killed but it also eliminated it’s dna from the blood line of thousands of future bats and also retarded the evolution of bats into retardos of the future. I believe that we should shut down the entire windmill industry in all states due to the danger that is imposed on rare, retardo, bats of the future. We just cannot take the chance that it will happen again. Actually no animal should have to suffer death just because of human development of anything. I really believe this! Honest

This is not yur granpapa’s little windmill on top a tower on the old ranch..

Wind power kills winger creatures, endangered or not.

THose who spew GREEN should be seeing RED

to match the blood shed one giant blade at a time.

The scales of the things used are asking for it..

and birds oblige.

Ask the OWS folks, its worth living without electricity if it saves the life of even a single bat.

Bats radar jammed by cell phone, it is the windmills fault. I had an owl hit my windshield once, do I need to stop driving.

One of the vital (but rarely mentioned) benefits of wind energy is the supply of shredded poultry downstream for the victims of the Obama Depression.

The rare Indiana bat is a threatened species.

Meanwhile, in other news, the Moon bat (known for it's enlarged left wing) is occupying public parks around the western world.

So instead of taking 20 years to pay for themselves, windmills will now take 30 yeras to pay for themselves. Of course that’s providing they don’t require maintenance costs.

OK, what stops the blades from turning at night? Is there some sort of automatic feathering of the prop? Does it lock in place? What kind of stress does that place on the mechanics of the beast?
