Who would have thought that rewarding hostage taking would encourage hostage taking? It’s so counter-intuitive.
The next time the Palestinians take an Israeli hostage, the IDF has to cordon off the area and do a house by house search, ripping up floor boards, tearing out walls, until the hostage is returned and kidnappers are in custody.

Shame the Israeli’s couldn't have injected those 1000+ Palestinian prisoners with some slow acting poison before releasing them, but I guess that would probably have violated some namby-pamby international law.
