Spread the word: Cain is for real

My late grandmother used to say: "They're smart, but they're still stupid." I find that adage apropos pursuant to the political zeitgeist of today.

The problem with the program hosts and media and the beltway illuminati whose lead everyone else follows is that they associate and reason with mirror images of themselves. They have no idea who we "the American people" really are. They will deny what I'm saying, but they've long forgotten what life was like outside the cloistered Martha's Vineyard bubble they now live in. And that's for the ones who had a clue to begin with.

Their neighborhood's idea of occupational diversity is driving a different color BMW X5 and/or S Class than their neighbor. It's also the reason why we hear them and their guests ostensibly saying the same things, even if phrased differently. Which is why, I argue, we should listen circumspectly.

Herman Cain, Republicans and Tea Party folks are being savaged in the comment areas of most news sites. It is time to band together, visit those sites and correct the untruths that these people are posting. The future of America is at stake. Don’t let liberals, Obama and Democrats win by remaining silent.

My idea of a “for real” candidate is someone who is better than “clueless” on foreign policy. Herman Cain is clueless on foreign policy. What is scary is that Herman Cain will probably lose in a debate on foreign policy to Barack Obama.

Being a likable guy, and having a good “American Dream” story does not make you the best candidate for president. The over-the-top fawning over Herman Cain on our side is no different than what propelled Obama to the nomination 4 years ago. Totally driven by emotion.

So by your statement, “The over-the-top fawning over Herman Cain on our side is no different than what propelled Obama to the nomination 4 years ago.” you are saying Cain will be propelled to the top? Thanks for the clarification.

As I have previously posted, those in power are wetting their pants or panties over Cain. If he wins, they will lose their power and perks. Power means the ability to direct Government contracts to their friends and themselves. IMHO support Cain with Palin for VP.

I disagree. All that is needed for good foreign policy is a solid moral foundation with core beliefs and a strong desire to do what is right for America. That coupled with better than average intelligence and the ability to make an informed decision and adjustments when necessary are more than adequate for a president.

ALL presidents are learning on the job. Give me a man with a diverse background of success in the real World and a good sense of his own beliefs over a wonk any day.

As long as he surrounds himself with good advisers he will do fine. No one man can know everything. He can however make every decision after a reasonable study of the known facts.
