towards the end of the story: Obama had raised about $3.9 million in Wall Street contributions as of the end of September. That's more than 4 percent of his overall haul so far of $89 million, which dwarfs the GOP field.

""They are a pretty good thermometer for the level of discontent in the country," said John Green, director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron. "But the connection between Republicans and Wall Street and the banks will surely be an election issue next year." "

They are really trying to push this agenda aren't they?

It's going to be tough with the internet and FOX new spointing out that Obambi is the biggest beneficiary of Wall Street.

I can't remember ever seeing something as 'manufactured' as this OWS protests and their predetermined responses

It's like a very poorly managed stage production where you can see the people behind the curtains pulling all the strings (not all of them ... yet) and the players on-stage are a really terrible actors and stupid as well.

Geez these people are incompetant

And ANOTHER “professor” shows to the world his absolute lack of any common sense when he trumpets the connection between Wall Street and the Republicans, even as the media reports the “OBSCENE” amount of money Wall Streets rains on the usurper in the White House.
I think his nonsense justifies a class action law suit for a full tuition refund by his “students”.

"But the connection between Republicans and Wall Street and the banks will surely be an election issue next year."

Time for the Republican candidates to start making their commercials. Oboma recieved more from Wall Street than any other president in history, and he returned the favor - to the tune of $$$$trillions$$$$.

It appears the "grass roots" protests in NYC have turned into a get out the vote for the party that started the economic crash in the first place. Now, they're trying to come back as the saviors to "fix" the chaos they created themselves - again.

“When people lose everything and have nothing left to lose, they lose it.” - Gerald Celente

What do they do when they “lose it”? Well, it depends on the person and what they've lost. A union worker with a family that has lost his job and can find nothing paying remotely what he used to make has lost his ability to support his family. What does he do when they come for his home?

A college student that is still supported by mom and dad has lost his future. Those of you that are in your 40’s, 50’s or 60’s, how would you have reacted to getting out of school in todays job market?

Etc.

We are living in interesting times. I don't think these kids are doing the right thing, but I also don't know what I would do in their position. What CAN they do, really? Sure, they have the iPhones and all the other trappings supplied by mom and dad, but they are not stupid. They know that is temporary and they have serious angst over where they will be five or 10 years from now. They are pissed because they don't feel that they caused it but that the previous generations did and they don't know what to do. So they do what kids do. They have a sit in and just want to be noticed. They are hoping the adults with actual POWER will do whatever needs to be done to create an environment that will bring opportunity so that they CAN work somewhere besides McDonald's.

And they are becoming useful idiots, which is as dangerous as it was before the Russian Revolution or the rise of Nazism. We are in a VERY dangerous time. If something doesn't change, and soon, this will get ugly in ways most of us can not even imagine. The “Occupy” movement is nothing more than a symptom. Think of it as the cough from the cold. We have yet to experience the sneezing, runny nose earaches, etc. What will we do when those symptoms arrive? What if it moves on to pneumonia?

All those wall street firms should of been allowed to go bankrupt, no business should be allowed to be “to big to fail”

Let them fail, and use anti trust laws to brake up the others.

By rights the Citizens United decision should mean the end of Leftism in the United States.

They are trying to frighten the GOP off of that and to tie themselves at the wrists and ankles to public financing of their campaigns.

We see how well that worked for McCain when Obama decided to yank away the football at the last minute.
