It seems Bachmann didn’t find Herman’s joke too funny, either.
*snip*
But Bachmann wasn’t laughing.
“That was a joke and this is no laughing matter,” she told reporters when asked about Cain’s comment. “It’s important that we take this issue very seriously in dealing with the fence, as all of the individuals in front of me are doing, they’re dealing with it very capably and very seriously.”
I don’t see how this helps—saying something, then saying something is a joke, then turn around and say it is not a joke.
How are people who don’t spend a lot of time investigating candidates supposed to make a decision? One can’t see what the truth/plan is.
This is just one example of the problem of lacking political experience. I don't know WHERE Cain is on this issue now. Was it a joke? What's the serious? And why are you making flippant remarks about such things? Are you having fun running for president?
America is faced with deadly serious peril. Address it accordingly. Nobody is looking for comic relief, Mr. Cain. We're looking for an American president.
Bachmann doesn’t smile often - I suspect botox.
If Cain said the sun was warm, Bachmann would attack him.
At this point, Bachmann’s only hope to get back in the game is if Cain explodes, so she’s been going after everything he says.
For example “devil in the details.” She’s opposed to a tax plan that is short enough to hold in your hands, but she’s not worried about the “devils in the details” of the current 90,000 page tax code?
Under normal circumstances, Bachmann would be one of the biggest critics of the current code, and all for replacing it. But because that would help Cain, she’s flipped her position.
