"I know the South, and you have to win the South. Mitt Romney did not win it when he ran against John McCain in the 2008 primaries, said Mr. Cain. The reason he will have a difficult time winning the South this time is because when he ran the first time, he did not do a good job of communicating his religion. It doesnt bother me, but I know it is an issue with a lot of Southerners.
.
Let’s try to put this in perspective, regarding Cain’s comments on Mitt Romney’s religion and his failure to garner any significant support in the South in ‘08.
Being from the South myself, I can tell you and anyone else who cares to listen, that when the Southern primaries arrive, the typical Southerner is going to take a look at Mitt-Witt, at Perry, and at Cain and reach the following conclusions:
Herman Cain: “he’s one of us, he understands us, he won’t forget us when he gets to the White House”
Rick Perry: “Texas needs him more in Austin, than America needs him in Washington, but a nice guy”
Mitt Romney: “G*DAMNED YANKEE!!”
