Ugh! I turn on the radio, and the first thing I hear is “Obama”! Please God, let a Republican win!

Morning AM!

Good Mornin'!

Wow...sounds like Indiana U has at least one good prof!

( and some crybaby students)

What? Did I miss something when I was out of the room?

Indiana State or IUP?

IUP. Jim opened talking about a prof there who "offended" some students when he said being gay was wrong. One fled so bad he/she had to leave the room crying. Another used AXED instead of asked.

COOL!

So yesterday was a cooking day for me and I tried a recipe from one of my fav recipe sites. The Pioneer Woman

Here are a couple of pics, I hope I resized them so they aren't too big.

Note the WOVEN bacon!

My mac n cheese.

Fat, fat fattie trying to cook.

I didn't use Pioneer Woman's exact recipe. Left out was the tabasco sauce, added was some chopped onion and I replaced the dry mustard with some prepared mustard because I couldn't find the dry stuff. (Mrs p6 was moving things around...again)

Turned out FANTASTIC if I say so myself. It made LOTS more than I expected but even so there's hardly any left today. I'm eating some now.

Good morning n’at everyone (waves!!!)

P6, thanks for the computer info you posted in yesterday’s thread. Our son (the Comp Sci major @UPJ) was incredulous when I casually mentioned I was in the computer dept at Wally World. He had us promise NOT to buy anything more complicated than a coffee maker without his guidance. I will pass your info on to him:) to help us find a new computer.

Now I am going back to the Pioneer Woman page...your meal looks tempting and delish baked in your Temptation bakeware:). Now I am cravin’ bacon....

Ok...what a contrast. Quinn just did the grenade part of Fast and Furious, which is NOT being reported any place but the net and by Cheryl Atkisson @CBS...and then we have what passes for ‘news.’ Anyone else listening on wpgb radio and just hear the news break about ‘President Barack Obama taking in the Carolina fall foilage on his bus tour.’. How he stopped in a ‘general store for candy and barbeque.’

What, no puppies to pet? Geeesh...

Make sure to check out this site: TxMicro.com

Scroll down to systems. Some of the prices are attractive BUT you are usually getting refurb, re-certified stuff. It's not for everyone. I have bought stuff from them and had good luck. Then again I'm looking for cheap stuff I can easily upgrade or add to.

Most recently I bought a pretty good but admittedly dated video card and a new 500GB SATA HD from them. Both are in my desktop machine now and work fine. The video card isn't current tech but since we don't do a lot of gaming we don't care.

We could have used the built in graphics and been happy but IIRC the cost of the video card - an NVidia something that is maybe 2 year old tech - was so cheap I couldn't resist.

That’s hilarious! Our son has ordered us not to go shopping for a flat screen tv without his guidance! LOL! They probably DO know more than we do!

Enjoy your trip to the foodie site.

I wish I could go too, but I don’t want the temptation.
