Also, I'm not sure of his ratings or total audience, but I believe he successfully targets the 18 to 25 male market. It must really annoy the OWS organizers that he is making such fools of the protesters.....and then directing it on-air to the same age group that are in attendence. Hehe, devastating.
A reserved---Go Howard! As Voltaire said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
Hard to say. The libertarian party ran him, briefly, for governor of New York back in the 1990s, but that was a total PR stunt. I've been listening to him now for nearly 20 years, and I'd describe him as a Reagan Democrat who votes for the GOP only when the GOP runs someone who'd probably get lambasted as a RINO around these parts. He was solidly against GWB and for Gore/Kerry, he was for Hillary Clinton until she lost the nod, and then he got behind Obama.
He's big on individual rights, but he's also big on the government taking action to solve problems. He's very pro-cop, pro-blue collar guy . . . anti-Bible thumper, anti-"Moral Majority"-type people.
He's a libertine on the radio, yes, but in private life, he's very, very different.
