I am too and we may see a column on that from Dr. Sowell.

In an interview last week Dr. Sowell was asked about Herman Cain. He replied that Cain is articulate then when asked about Cain’s lack of experience in an elected office Sowell replied that the White House is not a place for on the job training, that was all he said.

No shot at Sowell intended as he is truly a gem in my book, but what man has ever been elected that could say he had previous White House experience? (incumbents excluded)

Actually, it is - nobody who takes the job has experience in anything quite like it.

It's just that you need to start from a base of experience in similar work - which is why you see presidents coming from the ranks of present or recent governors. And that's why I was disappointed that Sarah decided to sit it out.

Cain has a similar, or better, background to what Sarah had before she became governor. But Sarah proved she could get elected, and get things done there - and Cain never has done that.

Cain has said that he's black before he's conservative, and he's helped pile on the N____head non-story. So in that sense, I don't quite trust him to be the president of all of us. Vast improvement over Obama, of course - but that is faint praise for a presidential candidate.
