Thanks for posting this. My main thought, as I watched the interview, was just how stupid David Gregory is. Wow, how do you get a network gig while being an economic retard? Sheesh.
David Gregory (punk) isn’t just economically retarded there. He doesn’t seem to grasp elementary school mathematics.
I don’t know but I watched Chris Matthews on Jeopardy once (why I inflicted that on myself, I’ll never know) but he was a complete imbecile.
My kids were answering questions he didn’t know.
J-School graduates are not known for IQ. The Radio/TV Department, even less so.
In all liklihood, Gregory couldn't pour piss out of a boot with the instructions on the heel.
It's amazing what having great hair will get you.
You can’t be serious?
MR. GREGORY: But where do state taxes go? Youre saying theyre going to be repealed?
MR. CAIN: If youwith the current structure, you have state taxes, right? So with this new structure, youre still going to have taxesstate taxes. That is muddying the water.
MR. GREGORY: How so?
MR. CAIN: Because today, under the current tax code, state taxes are there if they have it. If they dont have a state taxes, they dont have it. It has nothing to do with this replacement structure for the federal tax code.
In other words his 999 doesn’t take into consideration that Americans will be hit by double taxation.
All David G did, was bring it down to the lowest denomination.
2+2+2= 6
Mr Cain says no, the answer is 4 because he doesn’t count the 3rd 2.
This is not even a rational plan.
There is scant research on the 999 plan. Gregory was quoting the WSJ. I am really more surprised that the WSJ got it so wrong. I am also surprised that Gregory didn’t do enough of his own homework to know exactly where and why the WSJ was wrong.
“Wow, how do you get a network gig while being an economic retard? “
I think that’s a requirement for getting the job...being stupid!
