History is taught in many schools still, but not many care to learn it.

Newt is by far the brightest most able Republican candidate. However, his history reveals a seriously flawed character.

Some people are forged by their mistakes. It depends on if they learned multiple invaluable lessons or if they covered them up or excused them.

Yes, men can change for the better. The question is has Newt made that change? There are three equally important factors underlying a good candidate: intellect, health and character.

ME TOO!

It is so sad to see this forum fall in love with a candidate who has charisma, could be a good vice presidential choice as a platform for learning,as in Herman Cain.

And then for so many highly intelligent and politically wise people to turn their backs and be absolutely unforgiving of the man who has turned his life around and not forgotten one of the conservative principles for which he has always been knows politically!

Newt can debate circles around Obama. The common man is being drawn to his adult-like and hugely knowledgeable handling of every subject in the "debates" (showcases for the moderators to pit one against another).

I hope this wonderful forum, to which I have been so long attached will wise up and look at Newt in light of his new offerings -- and find that he is just exactly Free Republic's cup of tea!

Yes! Newt proved himself wonderfully wise and erudite once again in last evening’s debate.

He has it all: intelligence, experience, wisdom.

We must not overlook him this time.

I like Newt. He would destroy Obama in a debate...and he’s fearless in attacking him.
