It is politically stupid to alienate the fastest growing demographic. I don’t like the level of hatred being shown to a specific group of people. History has shown how bad things happen when one group is targeted and dehumanized.
I still can’t wrap my brain at the fact that many here want to have a soviet style border complete with landmines. That is just nuts.

That is why we have to turn them into the “Incredible Shrinking Demographic.”
All the fear and hate people here have for welfare state recipients seems to have suddenly become focused on Mexicans.
This is not fair. I live in a majority-minority city close to Dallas. We have everyone from everywhere but most are Mexicans.
They are hard workers and good workers with a good attitude. I’m not condoning illegal aliens but it seems to have morphed into a hatred of all Mexicans, and almost a vicious hatred
This is not worthy of us and speaks badly of Free Republic. I don’t know what can be done about it as people are entitled to say what they want to, I guess, but I find it painful and dispiriting.
No matter who the GOP nominee is, making remarks about killing illegal Tex-Mex border crossers will not sit well with those Hispanics who are US citizens today or about to become one.
