Some scientists have been saying that for quite some time now. Just google abiotic oil. They make a very compelling argument. Then there's also those lakes of methane on Saturn's moon Titan, and hydrocarbons in Jupiter's atmosphere. The evidence may be there, they may just be 'conveniently' ignoring it.

This isn't Jupiter or Titan, in case you had missed that. Different planet, different circumstances. If there was all this 'free' abiotic never-runs-out oil, I can guarantee you there would be a lot fewer, and much older oil wells out here, and they'd produce forever.

Never said I was 100% convinced of abiotic oil. I'm just saying they make a compelling argument. I'd like to hear and study both sides rather than just accept 'facts' from one group who has a vested interest in fossil based fuel. I feel the argument is not that different than what's playing out with the Global Warming nonsense. Here's a good link that presents both sides of abiotic oil:
